Project manager
Fry & Bonthrone's project management team acts as a central point of contact to customers, internal staff, and any external suppliers, freeing up translators to concentrate on the translation itself. They combine customer orientation and business savvy with strong organizational, communications, and team skills and knowledge of the translation process. They are able to manage multiple projects of varying levels of complexity at the same time, while focusing on pragmatic, efficient solutions.
We are currently looking for a project manager to start as soon as possible. Candidates should have translation/language or commercial qualifications and an extremely good knowledge of written and spoken German and English, as well as strong MS Office skills. They should be reliable, flexible and have an eye for detail. Relevant work experience is an advantage.

In-house translator German-English
Our in-house translators are the linchpin of our quality-driven translation model. They combine an excellent command of their source and target languages with specialist knowledge in our target areas, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to excellence.
We have an immediate opening in our English group for a specialist translator. Candidates must be native speakers of English and have an excellent professional knowledge of German; a knowledge of additional languages is an advantage but not mandatory. They should have a degree in translation, business, and/or another relevant discipline. Strong MS Office skills are also required, plus a good working knowledge of translation technology tools if possible. Customer orientation, flexibility and a “can do” attitude are additional requirements. Work experience in a comparable position and knowledge of our customer industries are a distinct advantage. Regardless of background, we expect all translators to update and enhance their skills on a continuous basis to keep up with our rapidly moving client industries.

Student interns
For many years now, our student internships have provided young people with in-depth insights into the translation industry and initial professional experience. In some cases these placements can lead to longer-term employment relationships after graduation. Students receive intensive induction training and are integrated into our daily operations, allowing them to make a real contribution to our business. A salary and accommodation are provided.
